Ford escape se 201912/7/2023 When I got it back, there was no coolant in it (it was well below the minimum mark) and the engine cover was gone and they still tell me it didn’t have one, despite none of my prior cars having one (they were both 99 models of Nissan and Pontiac, so yea, I did not have a cover so when I saw my new one had one, I damn straight remember it), the dealership keeps telling me it didn’t have one and that my engine doesn’t have clamps for one…when it’s a whole freaking new engine. On top of everything, when I got my vehicle back 37days later (after I called and asked when it would be ready because they did not call me the entire time they had it, so for 37days, I heard nothing, then all of a sudden it was ready). If was covered under warranty but I’m talking to a lemon lawyer because the car was too new for this kind of issue, and despite the dealership manager telling me it wouldn’t show up on anything because it was under 10k miles, my lawyer told me it will definitely show up on my car fax. I had coolant leaking into my engine and it need a whole new engine…at 2,500 miles on the vehicle. I called right before I got off of work and they said they found the leak. I took it to get serviced and they kept trying to give it back to me for 2 days saying there was no problems and that the vehicle was too new for a problem, the 3rd day, I didn’t get a call. After less than 3 months and 2,500 miles, it over heated. My Escape does everything I need it to, and I don't think any other vehicle could fit my needs as perfectly. As much as I want to engage my midlife crisis and get a sports car, I can't justify getting any other vehicle. It fits a ton of gear, tows my jet ski like it's not there, and does my daily commute without breaking the bank. But I've had it on shitty gravel roads, deep snow logging roads in the mountains, and drove it in some sketchy deserts. It's not going to win any awards for handling, and even with higher trims the interior feels cheap. They're all booked out forever where I'm at. I haven't had any issues yet, other than trying to find a dealer to do oil changes. ![]() It's quick, goes anywhere, handles snow like a champ. I've put 30k miles on it and it had 35k when I got it. ![]() I bought a used 2020 titanium and enjoy it. The newer 4 cylinder seems great and has some of the best towing capacity for a car its size. I'd advise staying away from the newer 3 cylinders as I hear a ton of complaints about them.
